Services

We are a valuable partner to help organizations and research groups create digital interventions that enhance and advance your work. With our own in-house science-based content developers (science writers, script writers, storyboarders) and technical developers, we efficiently bridge your vision to an intervention reality. Our expertise can elevate your impact.

Digital Evidence-Based Intervention Development

We use an evidence-based approach grounded in science and the lived experience of our focal communities. Intervention development follows an iterative design process, including formative research, community and client feedback, testing, and revisions to ensure community and client needs and outcome objectives are met.

Customized Mobile Game and App Development

Our expert app and game developers LOVE their work, and we’re always exploring new projects to keep pushing their development limits. The technical developers are supported by experienced project managers, writers, and graphic designers to round out the development process.

Customized Video Technology for Skill Building

We apply our patented SkillFlix® training technology to the learning goals of our clients. We do this by working with (or becoming) the subject matter experts for the skills to be taught, and developing the Microskills® framework, outlines, scripts, and videos to be deployed on a custom channel for the client.

Adaptation of Evidence-Based Interventions

Our senior staff are highly skilled in program adaptation and use guiding science-based frameworks for blueprinting and building adapted curricula – whether they are adapted for a specific population, or for digital delivery.

Formative Research with Underserved Communities

We include community members in formative research, whether in focus groups, expert interviews, advisory boards, and other activities to ensure authentic voices and perspectives are represented.

Making a Difference! (MAD)

Client: Kent ISD /ETR/OPA/FYSB

MAD! Special Ed adapted the evidence-based sexual health curriculum to be successfully used in Special Education classrooms. The curricular materials were supplemented with 10 video lessons.

This development process then inspired the creation of an additional specialized collection of videos that provides special education teachers with guidance to implement any sexual health curriculum in the classroom.

Services Provided:

dfusion worked closely with Kent ISD and ETR to adapt an evidence-based intervention,
Making a Difference! (MAD), for the special population of teachers of youth with mild cognitive impairment. During this design process, we supported focus groups, observed pilot testing, worked with a multi-disciplinary team to review the adapted version, and made final revisions to address suggestions and concerns identified during the process.

fter the completion of MAD! Special Education, Kent ISD was excited to work with dfusion again to create a supplemental resource to support sex education in Special Education classrooms across the district. dfusion worked closely with Kent ISD to create a video platform for sexual health educators of youth with mild cognitive impairment. During this design process, we engaged with students, parents, teachers, and staff to inform the video content, conducted usability focus groups with teachers, and worked with a multidisciplinary team to conceptualize, write, and create a series of 12 videos.
